Emilia Fox has fast become known as one of Britain’s most respected acting talents. She can currently be seen in the lead role of the long running BBC drama “Silent Witness” which is one of the most successful dramas on television and boasts a devoted fan base. She first appeared on television alongside her mother Joanna David in
the 1995 adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice” followed by her portrayal of the second Mrs De Winter in Rebecca opposite Charles Dance. Other television credits include The Round Tower”, “Ballet Shoes”, “Gunpowder Treason and Plot”, “Coupling”, “Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)”, “Fallen Angel”, “Merlin” and “Upstairs Downstairs”. Most recently she has appeared in “The Wipers limes”with Ben Chaplin and Julian Rhind-Tutt and James Gorden’s new comedy for the BBC ‘The Wrong Mans” which aired in the UK to great acclaim.
Emilia appeared in Roman Polanski’s award winning film “The Pianist” and has gone on to star in numerous other films, These include “The Soulkeeper”, “Three Blind Mice”, “The Republic of Love” , “Things to do Before You’re 30” “The Tiger and the Snow”,
“Flashbacks of a Dool” and “A Thousand Kisses Deep”.
Last year she appeared alongside Sebastian Koch in Mike Figgis’ film “Suspension of Disbelief. Her theatre credits include “Coriolanus”and “Richard II” under the
direction of Jonathan Kent at the Almeida Theatre, Michael Graandages “Good” at the Donmar Warehouse, “Katherine Howard” at the Chichester
Festiva Theatre and “The Cherry Orchard” at the RSC. She is currently filming the new series of “Silent Witness”.
