Anna Juvander was born and raised in a suburban area of south Stockholm. As a child she was very literate and therefore spent most of her time reading. A new world opened up 1986 when she was scouted by Eilieen Ford and was given the opportunity to spend a summer in New York city. She landed her first cover for Lei Magazine with Mario Testino onto editorials such as American Vogue with Irving Penn etc. As most of her bookings were editorials Anna developed an interest for the art form and started a production company with her husband specialising in film. All of their productions were produced in their private loft in Brooklyn. After five years of working behind the camera she met with Zen Buddhism and started meditating regularly. Her interest in this new lifestyle grew and she decided to go on a Buddhist retreat for three months and divorced her husband shortly after that. At the retreat she was introduced to a Japanese Munk that invited her to stay with his family in the rural countryside of Japan where she stayed there for four years. Without a plan in 2001 she moved to Paris and found a job at modern dance studio through a friend. Anna was involved in several projects at Centre Pompidou and spent several years at theatre studio in Bordeaux. Eventually she decided to move back to Sweden where she now lives with her husband and three kids. Anna's modelling career was reignited last year when she confirmed to walk exclusively for YSL S/S 22 and then going on to - walk YSL F/W 22 & S/S 23 shows and she is also confirmed with an exclusive contract for the next Saint Laurent fashion campaign.
