Nicole is an actress, filmmaker, and activist founder of Asian We Stand, a coalition started in 2020 in response to rising Asian hate in NYC at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. It has since transformed into countless conversations, press, and partnerships. She most recently starred in CW television series BATWOMAN as Mary Hamilton/Poison Ivy, making her the first ever Korean Poison Ivy in the DC Universe. Kang also starred as Lynn in the highly successful Netflix series YOU, based off of Caroline Kepnes’ bestselling novel, alongside Penn Badgley, Elizabeth Lail and Shay Mitchell. Her other television credits include: TWO SENTENCE HORROR STORIES (Netflix), ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK (Netflix). On the big screen, Kang previously starred in SWALLOW (IFC Films) and IN THE CARDS (Tribeca 2021). She has starred in numerous productions on stage including SENSE AND SENSIBILITY at the Folger Theatre, for which she earned a Helen Hayes Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Play. Kang is an NYU BFA trained actress and a proud member of the Actor’s Studio in New York. She’s been featured in Teen Vogue; The Wrap Power Women’s Summit; NY Magazine’s The Strategist; People Magazine; presented at the Shorty Awards; partnered with brands like AT&T, Somi Somi, Ferver Skincare, and Clarins; nominated for several GLAAD Awards for her work with her show Batwoman.
