I had my first catwalk experience when I was a little kid when one of my cousins took me with her on one of her jobs. But it wasn't until much later that I properly started modeling myself.My cousins both modeled when they were younger and one of them for many years had an agency on her own. When her daughter also started out her career I was quite tempted by the idea of a job that allows you to travel the world.As a teenager I was already a bit curvier and obviously didn't fit quite the measurements that clients were looking for so I found maybe this wasn't supposed to be what I should do after all.At some point my cousin mentioned plus size modeling to me as she could start to see a demand of curvier models. I found out one of the biggest plus size retailers in Germany Ulla Popken were holding a casting. I sent in pictures , but it wasn't until the next years competition that I made it to the finals. I didn't win but I got the chance to shoot with a professional photographer and with the results applied for agencies.It has been 12 years now and I couldn't be more grateful for my job and all my experiences.I shot a lingerie TV commercial for a big Canadian clothing brand called Penningtons on Ocean Drive in Miami. I was one of the first models to do a shoot for Vogue Italias curvy online platform when it started out and am now reagularly working for the German plus size retailer that held that competition all those years ago. But shooting a big campaign for C&A in the streets of Paris and an advertorial for El corte ingles in the Spanish Elle magazine must be my highlights of my career so far and I can't wait what the future has to offer.
