Mouchette’s modelling career started in the 1970’s and took her to London, New York and Paris, championed by Peter Lindberg and the legendary Franca Sozzani at Vogue Italia.Her keen interest in fashion and incredible personal style led Sandra Horowitz of Mademoiselle Magazine to employ her as the Accessories Editor also arrange for Mouchette to study Fashion History at Parsons School of Design in New York. By the late’80’s Mouchette had progressed to become the Fashion Editor at Mademoiselle but wanting to return to London she wrote to Anna Wintour, then the Editor of British Vogue, and within an hour of interviewing with her Ms Wintour offered her the job of fashion editor. There was a return to New York and Mademoiselle in the ‘90’s but living a block away from and witnessing the Twin Towers disaster on 9/11 caused Mouchette to return to the UK. She continued to work for publications such as Elle, Tatler and Vanity Fair until close friend Prof. Iain R Webb invited her to talk about her fascinating career in the fashion industry as part of his university lectures. This led to her walking in a Graduate Fashion Show at Bath University and an introduction to Models 1. Mouchette has embraced her new career as a model and worked for brands such as Matches Fashion, Arket, Clarins and Sephora as well as walking for Emila wickstead AW 2020 show.To this day, Mouchette appreciates the early support she has received by the likes of Sandra Horowitz, Anna Wintour, Elizabeth Saltzman and Grace Coddington.
